New age starts soon

From: Sash | Posted: 8/7/2004 7:01:31 AM User Level: Administrator
The Beta 5 will start soon. I am not moving onto Age 1 since there are some pretty big changes I want to make before Age 1 officially starts. I will change most of the formulas right before Beta 5 starts, trying to perfect the game. There will also be a few more features. This is just a heads up for the coming changes when Beta 5 starts in a few days.

I will check out the changes and most likely either stay or leave. I was going to leave but since there is supposed to be big changse I will stay to see them. Oh and I will always be around just to post on the boards and talk about the game. I have to keep first in karma you know.

i wasn't really planning on being here for THIS go round. so i suppose staying at least long enough to get a fell for gameplay in the new one is only fair. lol

I won't reveal too much, but don't expect tons of new features or anything. Most of the changes will be ones to the "behind the scenes" stuff like formulas and stuff. It should make the game more enjoyable and encourage slightly different strategies, although I don't know until I try. (Hence the new beta.)

Actually, there won't be any new features coming after all. However, there will be REALLY big changes that I have been programming for a couple days now. These will completely change the game like nothing since Beta 1, you will see.

Well, actually, some of the changes can be seen as features. One of the smaller changes is a broker fee in the stock market.

Notice how the stock market drops. 3 times in a row, whatever I invest in drops price. Right now, it is the most expensive stock I invested in, and look at how low it is. Some of you might remember how low the first stock got. It got that low when I invested in it. Same thing with when the last stock price dropped...

It's random... I don't control it and neither do you. It has a bigger chance of dropping than of rising, think about it.
